Welcome to the Siouxland Center for Active Generations!

Welcome to the home away from home for thousands of active older adults in the Siouxland community, the Siouxland Center for Active Generations, 313 Cook St, Sioux City Iowa. The Center was started in 1973 thanks to the vision of a group of active seniors who had a dream of providing a place where they could remain active, educated, independent and healthy. The Siouxland Center for Active Generations was born out of that vision.

Our beginnings were small with a daily attendance of 50 older adults. Who knew that we would someday have over 250 seniors walk through our doors each day to participate in over 60 activities that are offered each week, and that our membership would total over 1,400.

We cordially invite you to visit our organization where we continue to offer a variety of programs designed for all types of older adults. Whether your interests lie in educational programs, computer classes, health classes, recreational activities or financial issues, we have something for you.

Adverse Weather Conditions
In the event of public school closings, the Siouxland Center for Active Generations will be closed. If there is a weather related late school start, we also will be opening late. Please stay tuned to your local T.V. and radio stations for the latest information.
